It was 6pm every time zone.

If you're online right now, this is epic. Doing a livestream about the Rapture and telling the whole internet you're taking calls? What could go wrong?

1.5 hours remaining for me...LOL

I spent the day at the zoo studying sea lion behavior for a research project.  Also went driving along the Columbia River Gorge to look for sea lions, but only found one, and it escaped my view.  None of the animals I saw  appeared overly concerned about impending doom IMO.

Just to be on the safe side, I'll re-listen to "Supper's Ready" and "666" in order to achieve the right frame of mind.

It's 7:41 PM.

I want my god damn rapture!

People trying to kill their children and attempting suicide because some idiot wants to increase his radio listeners and add commercial revenue? Mr. Camping should be held responsible for any deaths he caused (much like yelling "Fire!" in a theater).

Absolutely disgusting, these people make me sick.

Gotta love their backtracking on the live show, too...

Has anyone watched that documentary yet?  The guys who made it were on the News earlier.  They don't believe in the silliness by the way.

I wish I'd brought my fishing pole.  I am almost positive that there was a giant sturgeon right outside Bonneville Dam because I saw it jump out of the water.  Unless it was a very silvery-colored sea lion, except I never saw it resurface.  It must have been taller than me. Unhappy

This reminds me of the movie Time Bandits. Randall had been making grandiose claims that the Time Bandits were famous international criminals. Suddenly, he was proven wrong.

Kevin: Is it always like this after you've done a raid?
Fidgit: I don't know. We've never done one before.
[Long pause]
Kevin: But I thought you were international criminals.
Randall: Going to be. Going to be.

I'm pretty sure it was just a little error in the calculations... I mean, in the big scheme of things and time, pastor Camping missing the date for a day or two is still nothing short of a miracle.

I wonder if his mistake was not using the Julian Calendar, the dating method prior to the 16th century, or if he failed to account for the differences in the Hebrew calendar and the Gregorian calendar? It must have been difficult counting back thousands years to a mythical flood. Had he read the Mesopotamian Epic of Gilgamesh (the account of the flood that was lifted to make the story of Noah), he would have had to count back even farther. He might have even referred to Tolkien's Akallabêth, which features the destruction by flood of Númenor (or, as it is translated "Atalantë"), which is a more interesting tale than the Noah fable.

well it's after 6 in California and unless I'm the only sin-less person in the state, it appears the Rappy-rap was, shockingly, a false prophecy

.. wait--  is that an earthquake ?! ..

6:10 PM in Oregon.  No apocalypse.

What a horrifying waste of time and money.  It just goes to show that these TV and radio evangelists are nothing more than snake-oil salesmen.

oh guys 144,000 like the Bible said? That is silly! Not even Camping believes that!
He said it'd be 200 million that get raptured.

Assuming its pretty spread out amongst the world, still not sure if it'd be a huge change. 97% shall still remain to suffer until October.

Ummm...but the bible says specifically 144,000. Look, either you believe the myth 100%, or you make up your own religion, like Mohammed. This picking and choosing of scriptural quotes is getting tedious.

Besides, as far as "predicting" the date of the rapture or the apocalypse, there is the following:

Matthew 24:36 -- But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Mr. Camping's got a lot of 'splaining to do with the Big G!
