I actually find those shows really offensive. It belittles not only the past contributions of ancient cultures but also their modern descendants.

I would love a show about actual intelligent speculations on the topic of the wonders of the ancient world, but insisting that aliens absolutely had to help ignorant ancient peoples do anything cool is so ridiculous.

I stopped watching once they had wrestling. Ghost Hunters used to be watchable when they had minimal sound effects/lameness. |
