Post rock-wise, I go for Sigur Ros. They're one of my favorite bands, but I prefer, yes, prefer Post metal. Devin Townsend, maudlin of the Well, and Kayo Dot are three of my all-time favorite groups. I know they moved Kayo Dot to RiO, but whatever.
Terria, ( ), Bath/Leaving Your Body Map/Part the Second, Choirs of the Eye, Agaetis Byrjun, Spirit of Eden, and Laughing Stock are my favorites in Post-whatever

Hate to burst your bubble, Alitare, but neither Devin Townsend, maudlin of the Well, nor Kayo Dot are post metal. motW had some elements of post-rock at certain times but they most certainly are not post metal.
As far as post rock goes, you can't beat the likes of Godspeed, Do Make Say Think, Russian Circles, Sigur Ros, and Mono. For post metal, you need to check out ISIS, Cult of Luna, Rosetta, Neurosis, and Intronaut.

Post rock is much better than math rock. Both are good though.

Probably not. I don't usually like -core music.
When I saw I prefer Math Rock, I actually mean border-line bands like Upsilon Acrux and Ahleuchatistas who are more avant-prog. |

You would. You obviously like boring and dull music.
Don't get me wrong, I like slower and emotional music but post-rock is dull and usually emotionless. Plus E-Bows are so annoying. I do like Bossk though. |

That's a lie (and that coming from The Truth ). You don't know me. I do like emotional and slower music. So disagreeing with that is a definite lie. The rest though is fair game. |
