I just finished my classwork for the first day of both my summer classes. Now I'm about to go run and do other exercises.

I took a nap earlier and now I feel dopey.

My best concert souvenir... I got Bill Kelliher's guitar pick, but I think the coolest thing was getting Scale the Summit and Misha Mansoor to sign my guitar.

I almost got a drum stick at a Dear Hunter concert. Me and a chick both grabbed it in the air. I should have just overpowered her and ripped it out of her hand, but I was a gentleman instead. I've regretted it ever since.

Also, Hi shred.

Probably as good as Colors. I love the new kind of sound despite them not changing anything about them. It has the energy and brutality that The Great Misdirect was missing. I can't wait for the full length.

Same.  I actually think it's their best yet, I think if anything it completely solidified the sound that they'd been approaching, looking at the arc from Colors to The Parallax.  Honestly, I can't find a single flaw in it.

They've also ditched a lot of the traditional metalcore hooks and formulas.  It's nothing but straight up BtBaM goodness.

In the first third of the year BtBam, PtH, and Human Abstract have released what may be their best albums yet. Not bad for 4 months.

They're not John Zorn. It's the same one.

Speaking of Zorn, his new album sounds promising.

Is it just me, or is Barking Weasel intolerably annoying when he posts here?

And with that, I leave you
