Who's Next by a mile. I hate half of Tommy, and Quad goes on forever, mac.

As far as I'm concerned they could call it The Who's Greatest Hits

Quadrophenia would be the one to go to, but Who's Next is their most definitively right on album. And remember - as legends go, it was the salvaged remains of a stab at a concept album.

Yes, that's true, Who's Next songs are parts of never completed double lp album with a story line. The singles Join Together and Relay, both released in 1972, are also remains of that project titled "Lifehouse".

IMHO, Join Together is their best single ever.

tup rung: Who's next
Just below: Tommy, Live At Leeds, Quadrophenia & Who Are You

the rest of their discography  is best presented as my own CD-r compilation.

keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,

rather than un-sheath our sword

Lifehouse if it came through, but as for a real album, The Who Sell Out. Who's Next and Quadrophenia not too far behind.
Nothing to say here. Nothing at all. Nothing is easy.

My favorite is Quadrophenia, but Tommy and Who's Next are great to.

Haven't heard all their albums, not by far, and I'm not sure what my favorite album is out of what I have heard...my favorite Who song (Eminence Front) is on my least favorite Who album though. Of what I have, I'd say my favorite is probably Who's Next.

Who's next is the only album without any useless pieces, it's not quite the case with Tommy and Quadrophenia though they are fantastic albums, there's powerful stuff among their numerous albums but Who's next.......Heart
