I've got about 300 more than you and I'm still not cool enough to be considered for Prog Reviewer status. Though I'm actually going for prog electronic team. |
Make yours slightly longer, and I'm sure you'll get it.
|
I'm pretty sure 30 Necron-sized reviews would give you a PR status. |
That would also take a geologic era to actually write.
|
If you like the album enough it's not hard to say a ton about it, I think. My 2700+ word Bath review took a little less than two listens of the album to write.
Then again, my reviews are half babble...

I'm sure everyone's first review is totally retarded. I know mine is.

Go for it. I always wanted to be PMT but various things happened, now I hate most of the site So my only goals are to be annoying as hell and become the "lowly" member with the most posts!

I challenge you to write a prog electronic review of that length.

Haha, anyone who wants to work on the PMT (especially back when s**t was REALLY S**T) is a sadist.
Also, must get prepared to hit on all the ladies in my post-conflict seminar.

I think PR is your best shot just because my impression of Phillipe is a stuck up old Frenchman (I hope I'm not offending anyone, he may be a nice guy but that's what he seems to me) who likes to be the dictator of three genres.

I would if most of Prog Electronic weren't so boring to me. There's a lot to say about maudlin's music and themes, there's not quite as much to say about Kraftwerk, or at least to my untrained ears...

The three genres that receive the least attention, though.

That's a good start, I think the best thing to do is to have consistently good input in the archives/on the forums. Your work isn't going unnoticed, at least.

Well, I think I actually do a decent job on the stuff that isn't the track-by-track breakdown (still a good 1300-1400 words, mind you), but the track-by-track is pretty much just babble, I admit it

As far as being a pro goes he is far more versed in the older, Berlin school style electronic music than I will ever be.

To be fair, he does seem to know quite a bit about the genre. But his view of it is way too limited.

I think his taste may be limited but the real problem is probably that the genre isn't for modern electronic.
