Yes JJ, I have been to 4chan and /b/, I know it is not all violent pornography and CP. I am not denying that the clout of 4chan helped spread it initially. But it is its own entity now. Like Milhouse, My Little Pony is not a meme, even if many images from Friendship is Magic are co-opted into existing memes (and it has memes of its own). You really can't judge a community that you aren't a part of for something you don't like.

It's because people have this reaction that I wish Mlponies would move beyond their initial SomethingAwful identity. I like SA for their ability to find internet horrors, and the forums seem pretty good if you're willing to sink the time and money into them (and avoid certain areas), but most people think of them as a bunch of trolls. 

I've never actually seen a CP thread on 4chan, I think their auto-filters must have just about every one automatically blocked by now.

I have never happened across CP on 4chan ever, I do admit there are dicks, but Chatroulette desensitized me to that.
