Muse mainly for Absolution which is one of my favourite albums. Their latest is not up to much although its still better than most everything else I've heard in the last 12 months or so.Matt Bellamy is a fantastic talent who carries the band to some extent but that will probably stop them developing much further. It's nice though that they all grew up in the little Devon fishing port of Teignmouth together and have now made it big.
Saga I don't know much about. Seem to remember them being aired on the Friday Rock show back in the eighties but never sounded that interesting to me at the time.

I'm greek but I voted Saga. Muse is very mainstream.

so what you are saying is that Muse is infected by non-greek Muse, or a bad Muse, if that ever exists,

If Exogenesis Symphony is regarded as mainstream then I can only see that as a good thing.

Most of their current album is as mainstream as anything they've done but then you get 10 minutes that is off the mainstream as they have ever been.
I think Matt Bellamy is very much a closet 'prog rocker' but he is very careful not to take Muse's audience (which is vast) too far from their comfort zone.It has been speculated that he will do a solo album in order to realise his prog ambitions. Could be very interesting!

He never was any fun to begin with. People who are stuck in the past tend to be bores.
My vote goes to Muse, been a fan of em since the Black holes and revalations album.

I don't personally like Muse much, musicianship without content most of the time. As for Saga, I don't even like their insurance. So neither for me.

Oh I see, we're not allowed to joke on here; maybe that's one of the reasons prog gets a bad name. Actually, I was commenting more on Muse and didn't know anything about Saga, hence the flippant reply to that part. I'll put my horn-rimmed glasses back on and go back to the library.

I've listened to Saga for ages (just not as much recently), and I concur Muse has some really cool songs.
