The acid test would be to Give the YIND solo to Gilmour and any solo of Floyd's to Howe, Howe would play it with his toes, Gilmour would be unable to reproduce any Howe speed-solo.

I wouldn't predict that Gilmour would be unable to reproduce any Howe speed-solo before it has ever happened, and the most youve proven is that Gilmour is at least as good as Howe.

And Hackett beats Gilmour for Feel, The solo in Firth of fifth is the finest in terms of feel........

Firth of Fifth, thats what? one for Hackett? Let me count em, Dogs, Time, Echoes, The Gold Its in the, Hey You, Comfortably Numb, SOYCD, Marooned, High Hopes, Coming Back to Life? Those are the finest in terms of feel and most of them out-feel the Firth of Fifth-solo.

"Progressive.... yeah, that's it..."

I agree Veggie... SOYCD... gives meaning to the word feeling... Actually add Sheep, Sorrow, and David's solos "Murder", Raise My Rent" , Mihalis, and Lets Get Metaphysical... all better than Firth to me.

And I'm a huge Steve Howe fan, but he's never played anything thats made me want to drop to the ground and pound my fist into the ground... thats how I feel when I hear David play.
