^I have seen this info in their official website. See: http://bbt.logicpole.com/2010/12/21/sol-download/

"We have a limited number of downloads to give away, so start downloading now!"

I've seen some bands saying that Bandcamp don't offer an unlimited number of downloads but only a specific number of downloads, so the "free download" option isn't going to last forever. But I haven't seen this actually happening so far.

For example, one band I follow was saying recently that free downloading of their album is ending, but I'm looking now on their bandcamp page and the album is offered at "name your price". This means it was either 1) a trick from them, to gain more attention, or 2) it turns from "free download" to "name your price", possibly to make it possible to make money, along with giving the album for free.

Gents, I strongly encourage you to check out the Chilean band Jovenabuelo, which I just added to PA and the Index. I love them. They're my favourite band off the Index right now and it's going to be tough to replace them from that spot.

JOVENABUELO / Ya Listo Chao / download
JOVENABUELO / 6123 EP / download
JOVENABUELO / Niño Sol / download

Also, I see Herod Layne just released a new studio album, but fully free is only the 128kbps version, the quality version is only available with "Pay With A Tweet". Thumbs Down "Pay With A Tweet" and such applications suck.

^Hummm... well, it's better than sign a newsletter, in my opinion.
But yes, I prefer a TOTALLY FREE download too!

(please, Harmonium, don't bring these ponys to PA...Dead)

I strongly recommend the Automassage EP I just added to the Index. Fantastic music, one of the few non-standard, non-cliché post rock free releases available.

AUTOMASSAGE / Ambience EP / download

No one has mentioned it yet, but the shy trafficker album is probably the best on the list. And that live Giraffes Giraffes release ain't free anymore on bandcamp so you might want to update it.

Other bands on the list worth getting are tangled thoughts of leaving and time columns.

You can't download the whole album as a single zip file but you can download all the tracks individually. Wink

I've listened to a few of these and so far there's some really decent albums.

I've got Bullets In Madison - Love Is Noise playing right now and it's my favourite so far. Brilliant album
