Hi guys
just dropping by to let you know that Kevin Gilberts masterpiece The Shaming of the True is now being released as 3 disc vinyl set and is available for preorder at http://popplusone.com/kg_sott_vinyl.html
For those not familiar with Kevin, he was a very versatile artist in the prog rock world and worked with the Who is Who of the music business - Madonna, Michael Jackson, Linda Perry, Keith Emerson, Spocks Beard, Tina Turner, and he was the one who brought Sheryl Crow to the TMC (long story...)
There are a few clips on youtube from this amazing album.

I already have the cd with the deluxe packaging and booklet. It would be nice to have on vinyl but I can't afford the expense right now.

I would also hold off on buying TSOTT right now because it is in the process of being remastered and reissued with a ton of bonus tracks, including A Long Day's Life backed by a 48 piece orchestra.

Hi,
it's just two bonus tracks and they are on the vinyl edition, too. Also the vinyl is of course remastered too. And finally, IMHO vinyl is the better choice since the album was recorded on analog tape and vinyl allows for a greater clarity and depth compared to CD or *ugh* MP3. Bottomline: if you are a KG fan and own a turntable you NEED to get this. Edited by bill_lumbergh - March 25 2011 at 13:08 |

Looks like they didn't get enough orders, as I just received an email saying my order was cancelled. Boo to that!
