Topic: Anyone with news on NeBeLNeST? Posted: April 19 2011 at 23:32 |
As I'm trying to listen to more music I haven't listened to in over two years, I put on NeBeLNeST's Zepto...and damn...is that an excellent album. Top notch avant-rock to my ears. But I haven't heard anything about these guys since then on any website. No albums seemed to follow Zepto (at least according to PA).
So does anyone know what is happening with NeBeLNeST? Are they recording a new album? Have they broken up? Etc questions?
Also, feel free to use this thread to say how much you love or hate the band.

Not sure what's going on with them now. I only have Nova Express so far, and I think it's a pretty cool album. I still need to give it more listens, as it didn't grab me quite as much as some other music I was getting at the same time, but initial impressions were good.

IMO Zepto is quite a step forward for them. I have Nova Express as well, but I found it much more "common" for lack of a better word. But thats another album I haven't listened to in over two years, I'll definitely play it sometime this week, perhaps my opinion would have changed.

I'm another one that only has Nova Express. Its a good album but some of the songs are a little too long and it just seems to lack a bit of energy, which is probably a recording "problem". Must get my hands on Zepto.

I saw the band at a very small venue in Chicago (a friend of mine did prog promotion as a hobby), got to meet them after the show & bought their CD at that time. This was 1999.
They were EXCELLENT! They really had a King Crimson vibe going onstage. I haven't heard from them recently, so who knows? But, for a while, they grabbed the brass ring & ran with it. Wish we had more bands like that.

Zepto was a bit of a disappointment, but I hope they continue to write music; more in the rocking vein of Nova Express would be nice

No idea what's going on with them but i'm a big fan of these French dudes. Nova Express is my favourite followed by the debut then Zepto. They are all excellent though. Dark and heavy with mellotron and they like to experiment. Can we hang out ? King Crimson,Guapo and Anekdoten would be related artists in my opinion.
