Genesis must win because Crimson didn't exist for half the great decade of the 70s. That's a good reason why Crimson could never be among my top 5 prog bands of the 70s

The second half of the 70's were lame. Guitarists became incapable of riffs. Bassists minimalised their input in the lead up to the dreaded 80s. And drummers became scared of the ride cymbal (not that Phil Collins wasn't always)
With this, we can safely ascertain that, other than very few exceptions, 75-79 were a sh*t time for prog and the downfall of culture and music. Thank christ for the 90s.

My favorite Genesis album so far (SEBTP) is only at a level of enjoyment equivalent to that of my least favorite KC album (ITCOTCK). King Crimson for me.
