One thing I especially like is their very technical, yet still very rock sound, and their eclectic adventurism; L'Via L'Viaquez is a prime example, mixing hard rock/prog with salsa, which just clicks amazingly. One thing I don't like about the album is that the second half is very disorganized to my ear. It has some good sounds, but "Miranda" and "Cassandra" don't have much seperation and both sort of meander and don't feel like cohesive songs to me. Other than the disorganized second half, Frances has been an enjoyable listen, and I might look into The Mars Volta in the future.

Because you're obviously fond of the first part of Frances, I highly recommend their debut, De-loused in the Comatorium. I believe you will highly enjoy it.

I'm really nervous about their new album. Cedric said is was more like future punk and the epicness would be absent. Also, no Spanish.

I highly doubt that.

No, it's good. They've already played most of the songs live.

I was listening to all of my Megadeth albums and while listening to this song I couldn't help but think that the singing really reminded me of someone.  I am pretty certain it was Cedric that it reminded me of.  Give this a listen and let me know what you think.
