 Topic: Independence - a good idea ?

USA has gone mad about the royal wedding over here with a very naff TV drama series, dolls and wall to wall coverage in the media. Far more so than we living on these islands. Is it not a good idea to give up this silly indiependence thingy and finally pay for the tea previously fed to the cod and haddock in Boston harbour ? I know you hardly can afford these ten thousand dollars (including interest). But giving up this childish indiependence idea and grow up would still save you for a lot of bother.
Return to being a British colony and you will be forgiven. Or what do you think ? Should USA return to being a British colony or should they continue this silly rebel indiependence thing ? Debate ! Edit: Had to make myself clear enough for the rebels to the west to understand me. Sorry rebel.....

The Isle Of Man is a good tax shelter. I think that the Cayman Islands, Isle Of Man and Norway could live in harmony but no nukes. But they would have to have an annual Rammstein Christmas concert with Tom Waits as a special guest.
