Amen to that! BJ is terrible. Pinks at least could be exciting, but usually isn't.

F1 back this weekend! Practice coming up soon.

So Andrew...touring cars are just "lower end"?

Opposed to sports cars which are Ferrari and Audi etc etc

Because sports cars, touring cars....I dont know the difference. LOL

Malaysia this weekend!
And HRT says they are confident they will make the race.
Baby steps guys !

Edit: Oh god Barret Jackson. I watched it once. I wish it didn't hog up so much of the SPEED block....

I mean it must be great for real car nuts. Guys who just get enjoyment looking at all the cool cars.
Since that's pretty much it. LOL I'm ok with some TV shows but yeah, I wish SPEED would put rally back on, and all types of other racing we don't know about.

On that note: Question my friends.

One time I saw this race, where the car had some handle thing and someone was literally holding onto it.
Only saw it once and I had no idea what to think. Anyone have any clue what the hell this was?

^Not a clue.Confused Can you describe it a bit more?

To put it simply, GT's uses 2 seater sports cars and Tin Tops (touring cars) uses family cars.

Webber fastest in P2, just ahead of Button with Hamilton and Vettel a bit further back. Ferrari still a little of the pace but Mercedes and Williams look better. Should be more pitstops this time as the tures dont seem to be holding up quite as well in the heat, so no one stopper from Perez this time. Worrying suspension failures for the Renaults, though it appears to be simply a bad batch of carbon fiber.

Ah ok, well that was simpler than I thought!

And I have no clue man, saw it one time and wish I kept it on to see. Hopefully Phil sees this, I think he remembered it as well. I'm going to look it up.

I also remember hearing about something where a car had 2 people in it, but the driver controls the gas, while the passenger controlled the brakes. I don't believe it was well known at all.
There are some obscure racing styles out there!

That was Top Gear vs a German motor programme where they had stucked two cars on the top of each other. The bottom man controlled the gas & brakes and the top man was stearing the......... ehh...... four wheel thing.

Well I'm sure there was that but I don't think that was it. Also I may be remembering wrong but I thought it was one did steering/gas other did brakes. Eh I can't even remember past last weeks anymore LOL

In England, we get the whole race shown again live later in the day, if it's on at silly o'clock.

Well once its over it's no longer live LOL
They do replay the race but I don't know when. Seriously. And I've looked it up and never found out. The info was just not here. At least the last 2 seasons.
Sometimes they never did replay it.

Gawd, so unpopular here...Cry

No, they redo the race.  The result is always the same and so are the crashes and everything.  It looks exactly the same but it's in fact a whole new race.  Live.

Look at it like this, I'll have to go to work half way through the race, and watch the end on the iPlayer.

Yes! I did catch the end of practice and heard something about rain. I thought maybe they were saying it just ended.

I do love a wet race.
Should also be another test for those new tires!

The weather forecast for the F1 race is rain and thunder. Can be interesting......

In Indycar, Simona de Silvestro is again impressing by qualifying 13th in a very unfancied team (HMV... who ran as Pacific Racing in F1 back in 1994-95). Keep an eye on this female racer (and rather forget Danica Patrick) because she is outdriving most males these days. 4th last race around.
