Why is there a link to Rebecca Black on YouTube in this post?

Quite frankly you should know better.

You could at least have linked to a track from Love Beach or something.

LOL!!  I see why they brought in Benoit David....he's the only one likely to score any chicks!!    What a rough-lookin' bunch these days!!

Squire needs a new 'do, he looks like Barbara Bush or something.  And, who's the porker with the sunglasses??

Really a creepy looking bunch, incredibly Steve Howe looks younger than most of the rest.

I guess the fat guy with classes is Teevor Horn, but he's among the younger in the group (Except for Benoit David and Geoff Downes who is three years younger)

But except for Geoffry (Born in 1952) and of course Benoit, none of them is that old to look like them.

Maybe the music will be OK (I like Drama, but it is not my favorite Yes album), but we'll have to wait and see.

Squire seems to be the engineer of these moves, a bit heartless in my eyes.  Ollie was a nice bridge to the distant past of Yes.

I think it's a good move--I saw O.Wakeman live with the group and it was not good. He seemed timid and not self assured and had no strong playing style which for me is a disaster in a group like Yes. Downes has a style and is somewhat of a showman. I wonder if there was a time when Benoit's head was on the chopping block and the Drama line-up would reunite. Anyway I might go see them now---I was going to skip it--as I'm one of those long time fans who think it's not the same without Jon. Even thought I think maybe he tried to control too much of everything in the last 20 years.

I can't keep up with all the changes and politics in Yes.
You'd think that after all these years, they'd have learned to put their differences aside and work together.
I agree that Oliver seemed like he was taking a back seat when I saw them in 2009, but given the rest of the talent in the group, it must be hard to make an impression (after all, Yes have never had a poor keyboardist). Benoit really impressed me. Not only is it amazing that he sounds so much like Jon, but he had the biggest fan backlash to deal with at gigs, yet managed to project himself confidently.
I hope that Oliver can continue to contribute in some capacity to the recording. After spending all this time on the road with Yes, he deserves a permanent entry in the discography.

It's hard to keep up with the DRAMA---but most of it comes from 3 guys who want to work all the time and two others (Jon and Rick) who for health reasons can't. The two controlled the group for years until finally the other 3 had to make a move. As  far as Oliver goes--(he didn't impress live) and it seems when he got in the studio he didn't impress there either so producer Trevor Horn phoned up his friend Downes to record. I'm not sure if Yes booted him or Horn started this in motion. For me a long time fan--I would have been happy if they recorded with Jon and toured with Benoit. Because Jon can't tour he admits it in a recent interview and Rick doesn't want to tour a lot.

The title looks like a message to Jon Anderson  LOL. Ungrateful mates.

Or, for that matter, to Oliver Wakeman... "circular firing squad" seems to apply here.

Title comes from the title track, which will be an epic-length piece that is expanded from a song that they wrote with Drama lineup.

old discussion on the album:

That has to be Roger Dean's worst album cover yet. It's like he's not even trying anymore.

Yep, but Trevor Horn was a  different vocalist, that made it great...
Was he really so different?
There are good examples when bands hired completely different singers (Coverdale after Gillan, Dio instead Ozzy, Lawton after Byron), Trevor Horn in my opinion is not the same case.

good old WIKI

Fly from Here is the upcoming twenty-first studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes. It is expected to be released July 12, 2011 on Frontiers Records in the US,[2][1] and 22 June on Avalon in Japan. The album takes its name from its title song.[1]

love the album cover
