Has Ledgard been sacked, or is he coming back, Andy?

hehe but hey...if Senna got to take out Prost (and pretty much admit doing so) Schumi had to figure why not?
He DID get away with it once, the second time was just greedy ![]() No doubt he's good, but eh...as you said can't see him producing much now and is deff outpaced by the other big name drivers (and Petrov). You never addressed Alonso. What have you against Spanish blood eh???? ![]() |

Alonso is a cheat and boring to watch.
![]() Button may end up like Damon Hill or Jacques Villenueve and joining Team Lotus or HRT next season. ![]() Even Johnny Herbert, who never won a championship, was better than Villeneuve! |

At least JPM has had success in NASCAR!
Villeneuve not only made the shame jump from F1 to NASCAR but couldn't even qualify for a race! Now that is sad... Now Damon was a beast. From what I gather, looks he had just had a late start. So didn't have much time to start with, and yeah decided to be "noble" and go to a lower team ![]() Edited by JJLehto - March 27 2011 at 18:48 |

I do like Damon, he's a nice guy and most definitely not a cheating type.
I remember that crash Villeneuve had in F1 which was due to terrible driving. Completely unforced too! He basically just drove into the Armco. |

hate to break it to you but cheating happens.
Even if its minor, (after all if you're gunna take a big stance against it you can't tolerate any) Hamilton was caught lying to the Stewards a year or 2 I remember. Which gave him an advantage in terms of finishing position over Jarno Truli. Uh oh...hami is a cheat. Also you always blamed the whole Piquet thing on Alonso, which I never got. Like it's the first time it's happened....and Flavio is the man to blame. ![]() Though I did feel bad for Piquet |

Ah but I like Schumi and he's the biggest cheat around. But he doesn't care and doesn't really deny it.

What I did like about Schumi was his dedication and intensity.
I know he was worked alot and took great control of everything. Opposed to my favorite driver Kimi....who drank a lot, napped a lot, and pretty much put in no effort outside of the race. Also even though Schumi won everything he always so excited. The fist pump, the jump on stage, waving his finger with the Italian anthem. Always liked seeing how much he enjoyed racing. |

Yep and he still seems to enjoy it, despite being in a terrible car last year and not finishing this race (and still potentially being in a terrible car).
Vettel seems like a nice chap but his driving style isn't really that exciting for me... Plus I don't like Redbull. Much like I don't like Williams. It must be something about being Finnish... Mika Hakkinen was dull too. ![]() |

Ah yeah, Kimi's interviews were painful and he always looked like he was forcing the joy out....
Heard the same about Mika. Though the few times I saw Lehto he seemed decently excitable actually. I definitely remember him joking and smiling, which I think would cause Kimi to explode if he tried ![]() |

Nah, his contract came to an end and the BBC didnt renew it, something to do with him being massively unpopular with just about everybody, particularly Martin Brundle. |

Well that seems like a good reason. Alex was talking about that guy in Romania they all hated... There are some bad broadcasters out there! I like the ones we have a good bit. |

They need that Scottish lass to present more. Mmm. And yes, my mate hates Ledgard. ![]() But what about Jake Humphrey? He started out as a Children's Television presenter and now probably earns a very nice wage for his F1 stuff. |

Wow, I'm really looking forward to this:
when looking at this trailer, I remembered something I read during the Schumi years: the speeds achieved in F1 have never risen again to the levels from the Senna / Prost years, because of more and more regulations. It was claimed that they were the fastest ever. That makes watching them (especially now, when we know what was about to happen) even more intense (and slightly disturbing). |

depends on what you mean by fast...
the highest speed ever recorded by a F1 race in a straight was 363 km/h, -Alesi I think- in Monza 2001

I do find it pretty great that every years there are various measures to slow cars down, but they never do and usually get faster. In qualifying for Aussie they we running near the top speeds measure there before.
Those F1 engineers are damn good |
