Ross. He developed into a brilliant character and he is the funniest. Incidently...I prefer all the male characters over all the females.

My preference order

1. Ross
2. Chandler
3. Joey
4. Monica
5. Rachel
6. Phoebe

Chandler is hands down the funniest, but Ross is overall my favourite. A lot has to do with the fact that David Schwimmer is the only actor of the group who's always convincing. Well, Aniston was great as well most of the time if not always. They are Ross and Rachel, whereas for example Monica in the later seasons is usually just Courtney Cox acting as Monica.

Chandler was always the funniest imo. Phoebe is funny too. Joey has his moments, Ross reminds me too much of myself and never really liked Rachel much to be honest.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

It was a very well done show for several seasons, I miss it.  They don't run it anymore like they do Seinfeld. 

Chandler gets my vote.  He could make me laugh with just facial expressions, let alone the sarcasm.

Same here. The three of them are hilarious in their own way. Joey just one step ahead. The japanese lipstick for men commercial makes the difference LOL  
 
 
Between the women I do have a clear favorite, and that is Monica.
