Topic: Prog Lyrics Available - Concept Albums Ready to Go Posted: February 06 2011 at 07:34 |
I have edited this post and taken down my lyrics. With the release of GarageBand for iPad 2, I have decided to abandon my efforts at collaboration and compose the music myself on the iPad. I'd like to thank the prog archives community for inspiring me and all the kind comments. They meant more to me than you can imagine.

very cool indeed! Just sing them into a tape recorder and find an arranger to figure out the chords. Good job.

Also, btw, I can sing all my lyrics if you need a guide. I've got them down pat to a science and know just how they would work lyrically, and in a lot of cases musically too. So if you get stuck, I can just send you a guide audio. You're going might fair better if you contact me and ask how I hear the songs sung and played. Don't let some of the lyrics fool you, these are heavy rock/prog lyrics and I recommend the music reflect that so composers won't have any trouble.
I strongly recommend any composer trying Soldier X consult me fully on that one. I can advise you how to make that sound killer!
And yes, they ALL were written as LYRICS and CAN BE SUNG!
p.s. none of the posted lyrics show where the repeats are...you may want to contact me if you are unsure which verse follows which because the verses aren't sung as printed.

You have better! You have the talent to write like you. No one else can do that. You can tap into that anytime you want. I still sometimes wish I could write like Mars Volta but I know that's not me and I'll never be able to write like them. Thanks for the encouragement! Sometimes I feel like giving up.
