A great prog related band that was a huge influence to so many. Great players all around. Which album by the great and legendary The Who is your favorite? Mine may be cliche but its definitely Who's Next. Great lyrics, instrumentation, production, performance and energy.

Tommy, Live at Leeds and Who's next for me.

It really depends upon my mood at the time. Tommy, Who's Next & Quadrophenia are so close in terms of genius, it's very often difficult to choose.

Quad is great.
Sell Out is very good.
I think Face Dances is quite under-appreciated.

For me, Quadrophenia is their best album.

But my favorite is By Numbers.

If that makes any sense.

I'm somewhat surprised that Live At Leeds has not made a better showing, especially if ya have the deluxe version, which contains live Tommy.

I've all due respect for Who's Next (and to a lesser extent Quadrophenia), but Live At Leeds documents one of the finest rock bands, not just of the era but ever, in all their eardrum-shredding glory.
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

I haven't heard Isle of Wight.  If it's anywhere near as good as Live At Leeds it certainly deserves consideration.

Who's Next is one of the ten greatest rock albums of all time. At least on my list.
