No Guinness or Smithwicks for me, so a cheap bottle of Merlot must suffice (and it is sufficing).

And I agree, June.  I don't want any needless violence in Libya but we cannot just leave things to get worse.  I realise it's more of a Civil War but sending in planes and whatever from UN Nations could just make things worse.
