Jim Carey hasn't been really funny since Dumb and Dumber
Robin Williams has never been funny
The choice is neither

Because Jim Carrey and Robin Williams are annoying and not funny at all, and you don't know how anyone can laugh at Jim Carrey movies? Rob, I hate to break it to you, but...that's no basis for rating albums.

In my opinion i think both are unicums in the genre of humor and comedian skills, both share the spontinuanity both on camera and off camera, both TAKE OVER every talk show they are guests at, comic is a gift a talent, something you can have from you are born or something you can houne and newture (something), both are masters of improv, i say MASTERS which they both showed in roles like the Mask, Genie in Aladdin which are roulse where both could delv intio 100 of different characters, RW developed over 50 different characters during the rehersals for Genie,
RW is also amazing in Dead Poet Soicety, and Good Will Hunting, Jim is great as Andy Kaufman, i love Yes man, and Lier Lier. also his serious movies, and his role in Batman Returns is spot on, also he is not american he is Canadian, from Ontario, RW is american from Chicago (or Detroit region), he is a Julliard graduate, together with Christopher Reeves, he have a huge respect for teachers and lectures, he is an avid Bikecyklist and golfer, is a peronal friend of Lance Armestrong, Jim Carrey is a Cannibal Corpse fan
, im pretty sure that Jim has not a comercal taste, he is pretty non-hollywood (or what you would expecet of one who is supposed to be a role modell), (amasingly enough nether dose the hollywood child Nicolas Cage, he is also quite non-comercal when it comes to what he enjoys as entertainment),

Carrey is very annoying. Williams slightly less so, so he gets the vote. I knew a girl who appeared with him - briefly - in the film 'Jack' and she said he was a very 'nice chap'

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Jim Carrey's playlist 21 Feb 2007 By Nicola West (Editor/Writer (UK)) We all know Jim loves his music and from time to time he's spoken about his favourite bands and even treated his fans to his own renditions. Often seen out with his iPod, we now have the opportunity to glimpse his playlist, and his accompanying comments, posted today on iTunes. Check the tracks out, some of them might surprise you! 1. "Strawberry Letter 23" - The Brothers Johnson"Classic lost song from the '70s. Makes you wanna be on roller skates, with a disco ball. Coincidence that the number 23's in the title? I think not." 2. "Breed" - Nirvana"One of my anthems. Put it on and imagine you're pummeling your foe's face into blood soup." 3. "My Immortal" - Evanescence"Gothic. Hauntingly beautiful voice. I like powerful women." 4. "One" - Mary J. Blige & U2"I love the light that shines through Mary. And U2's song can really lift you out of the muck" 5. "Close to Me" - The Cure"This song makes me feel like I'm being held down and tickled." 6. "Time Is Running Out" - Muse"Really into the energy and power. Definitely written by someone obsessed." 7. "Overtime" - Lucinda Williams"She breaks my heart." 8. "Fell in Love with a Girl" - The White Stripes"Not too many originals out there, but Jack is one of 'em. I like him so much that I never want to meet him." 9. "Run" - Snow Patrol"This song reminds me of a person who's passed on, reaching back to touch the one she loves. Touching, man." 10. "Breathe Me" - Sia"Song gives me chills - incredible voice. Jenny made me put this song on the list. But I love it, too." 11. "Tear You Apart" - She Wants Revenge"I found this song for the soundtrack of The Number 23. They're a great L.A. band, and the song is like the kind of passion that overwhelms your partner - loving but slightly brutal." 12. "Lover's Spit" - Broken Social Scene"Found this one by mistake online. It was no mistake." 13. "A.K.A. I-D-I-O-T" - The Hives"This is the perfect 'We're not buyin' your bullsh*t' song." 14. "Do You Realize?" - The Flaming Lips"You're perfect. Love yourself. And commit to being fully present. This song is a joygasm." 15. "Hallelujah" - Jeff Buckley"One of the most beautiful tracks ever. Everyone should be familiar with this song. Originally recorded by Leonard Cohen - I love Jeff's version. His soul was crying out." 16. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole"Iz was Hawaii's most popular singer until his death in 1997. I love his interpretation of this song. It's so transcendent that you don't even care that the lyrics are wrong. It's even better that way." 17. "Round Midnight" - John Coltrane"How can anyone beat the joy of Coltrane? Some things are classic for a reason. Everything Coltrane. Trust me! Just sit back and let him drive. The scenery he creates is breathtaking." 18. "Limp" - Fiona Apple"I saw her live. It was staggering. One of the most talented people I've ever seen. She's totally hooked in. Pure and uncut." 19. "American Idiot" - Green Day"These guys just get better and better. I love that this song exists. They took the words right out of my mouth." 20. "Nobody Home" - Pink Floyd"Remember when there were only '15 channels of sh*t on the TV to choose from, choose from, choose from?'" 21. "Land of Hope and Dreams" - Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band"This song is about unconditional love and acceptance. It's salvation for all of us sinners. And the performance is like watching an architect build a grand cathedral. Sublime!" 22. "Hey Man Nice Shot" - Filter"I heard it was about Kurt Cobain, who was born in 1967 and died in 1994; both dates add up to 23." 23. "I Am the Walrus" - Jim Carrey"Well, I am." (you sure are Jimmy!)

Believe me, both are humor for Americans, at least here, nobody cares for them.
Despite this fact I liked the serious movies of Carey (when he doesn't make that comedy only for USA people) and Good Morning Vietnam.

Seriously...you don't like Mask?

Nope, I consider it as one of the worst movies ever, but not remotely as bad as Dumb & Dumber and not slightly as nauseating as Ace Venture.
Jim Carey made two good movies IMO: The Majestic and Man in the Moon (Andy Kauffman), but that horrendous comedies are simply impossible to resist for me.

Didn't liked, as usual overacted.
Even great artists overact sometimes, like De Niro in Cape Fear or Pacino in The Devil´s Advocate, but in Carey it's usual.

What a load of tosh. The Mask one of the worst movies ever? You lie. Simply put. It isn't.

Why do I lie?
Overacted, absurd thematic, terrible translation from the comic to the movie, simply horrendous.

It´s really horrible. Carrey´s only movies I can stand without having stomach problems are Truman Show, Man on the Moon and... well, that´s about it.
I love slapstick (Leslie Nielsen type), love stand-up, love Seinfeld-type comedy, but can´t stand comedy based on faces and voices and annoyance like Carrey´s.

And, to be honest, both Truman and Man on Moon would´ve been better, probably, with another actor...

Really? You don't get it.......never heard of Jonathan Winters, Rich Little, Don Rickles...Robin is much more of an improv comedian than a funny actor. I think Jim tried it but knew it would not make him a millionaire.....improv is old school but done right its friggin hilarious. "Patch Adams" was a great movie and still Robin was able to do improv comedy in it...
Nanu-nanu wins it by light years....

The entirety of Robin Williams stand up is doing terrible accents and impressions and saying the F word every other word. He improvises, which is fine, if you have the ability to come up with something funny to say, which he never does. For some reason people find yelling in goofy voices and streaming profanity funny, in and of itself, and hence "comedians" like Robin Williams become huge. Style over substance, Dane Cook without the joke stealing.
Don't get me wrong, I see nothing wrong with profanity (its silly the value we give certain words) but you really need something to go with it.

True MOM, true. I still think that Williams is better than Carrey, at least is a more likable person. The other one´s entire act is based on moving his mouth and jaw and eyes and making stupid noises and voices. Only Dane cook is as bad.
Damn I think ROBBIE Williams might be better than Carrey...
