I got accosted in the street by some religious guy. I have no idea what kind of religious dude he was, except he was some form of Christian. Anyhow, I tried to walk away and I told him I was an Atheist and stuff but he tried to follow me. He also tried to give me his free CD. I wouldn't even accept that. I think my long hair and beard made him think I was the second coming.
Or he was just a c**t.
He should have left you alone when you made it obvious you weren't interested when you tried walking away.

I love how that Planet Earth clip is from 2006 but people are still being shocked and surprised by it 5 years later. I even heard the pop radio DJs talking about it this morning as if it were new information.

"The dress and grooming standards forbid beards"
Well I'd be kicked out. I can't think of any possible reason a beard would be against any dress/grooming standards (assuming it's trimmed regularly).
According to ESPN this morning "he had sexual relations with his girlfriend".
Oh, the horror!
I know this story is sort of an automatic WTF, but it's BYU, you know the rules and code of conduct going in. If you want to sleep with your girlfriend you should go to another school.
Good chance at 6 foot 9 he didn't have a girlfriend until he became a basketball star on a nationally rated Top 10 team, and by that point it was too late to change schools.
He couldn't forsee the possibility of having a girlfriend with whom he might want to have sex?
Funny James, just a bit ago I was walking and I was stopped by some mormons.
Not sure why me, I figure my terrible appearance was proof I need salvation. It was all whatever, but I found it wonderfully ironic I was listening to Tool when they stopped me.
BYU is of course famous for it, but lots of schools (all religious ones of course) do it as well. I know someone that went to a small catholic college and they also had an honor code. No drinking, drugs, sex, music/movies/whatever after times, pretty mundane dress codes including hair and all that.
