^ Thanks Jim, and by the way, if any of you are still wondering why there are no females on progarchives, thread titles like this might be a possible reason.
Most girls don't like nazi stuff. | This is the most ridiculous post I've ever read. And nobody here knows my real name and this is not linked to anything that does have my real name, you would have to go to my ISP to discover that I'm a Nazi pedophile, it's not like we're posting on Facebook. And if you're able to get my ISP to pay attention to you I probably have bigger problems than your opinion of me.

I know this may surprise you, but many other people share my first name.

i wonder if nazis had anything to do with the invention of wah wah pedals. Or did that technology come from debris recovered from the UFO that crashed at Roswell ? Seriously though the nazis were working on all kinds of wild sh*t including the atom bomb. My dad worked at Bletchley Park during the war and said that it was a pretty damn close-run thing before the allies got a hold of the Enigma code books in 1943..

The history of the atom bomb and the codes during WWII is fascinating. I can't remember any of it now, but I thought it was cool when I read about it before (probably on the internet at 3am).

You said the Nazis didn't kill people in the streets.
Actually you said attack. Even less accurate I would say.
|
Of course they did.
But the SA were too thuggish in Hitler's eyes (this is pre-war remember). Not only that but they were trying to get bigger than the Reichswehr.
Of course the SS killed people on the streets. You missed my point though. I said the SA often attacked people unprovoked. The SS were more ordered about it, I believe. I'm sure there are cases of thuggery. I'm not denying that. It's just the SS were more ordered and regimental. Plus they were quite often Middle-class.
|
You said that they didn't which is what I was mainly responding to.
I'm not sure how being ordered to do something makes an act less thuggish, but I guess I kind of see what you were trying to say.
|
Perhaps it's not less thuggish. I feel following orders is often worse than anarchy sometimes. Neither are good though. What I'm trying to say is: many S.A. members were working class (not a bad thing by any means; I'm working class) and many had violent tendencies to begin with. They didn't always care who they hurt. Whilst the SS, I believe (and I could be wrong), liked the Uniform, liked the organisation and like following-orders. There will always be the odd-balls though. So the two Organisations were different and had different goals. I like neither. I hate War. I hate the requirement for military. If John thinks I'm remotely a Nazi, then I'll be laughing for the rest of my life.

No. Airplanes have a phallic form and they have strong impulse... Plus an eject button.

My fascination with Aircraft stems for my father, who flies Radio Control and Control Line. My Grandfather, who was a Wireless Operator in Lancasters and just my general upbringing.
Why I like Luftwaffe/Luftkreiskrafte aircraft over RFC/RAF and USAAF, I have no idea.

I don't like Airliners. They're boring. Fly-by-wire and computers really ruin the appeal.
Put me in a Tiger Moth and I'll be very very happy.

I've never gotten into the fetishization of planes/cars/etc. Calling a machine sexy is incredibly weird to me.

Yes. All heil the spectacular exuberance of microwaves... They're hot and can fry your eggs in a second...
