One thing I never tolerate are grammar nazi's Wink (I kid admins! Don't hurt me!)

That wasn't splitting hairs, just realized that there is not 100% freedom of speech, so I mentioned some cases when they are not.
Someone would have anyway If I havn't LOL

And Pat I meant cases like, well the military, or slander.
Not times when it was just disregarded for some excuse.
Like the Espionage Act, or Patriot Act. Or the various times habius corpus has been suspended.

Absolutely brother! Big smile

And agreed there, I do believe there are some global rights that even human being should receive, simply by existing and not living wherever. One is freedom of expression!
Besides it's not like America (even Americans) hasn't taken the world's brunt of criticism LOL so I shouldn't be exempt from walking the same road!

Well in that case just look at any form of Commercial Speech. It has almost no protection associated with it.

He bought me a Lancaster once but I had a whole Geswadwer of German fighters. One of the most interesting was the Blohm & Voss Bv 141 experimental reconnaissance  aircraft. It's asymetrical design was revolutionary just like many German designs that explored everything from supersonic flight to variable geometry wings. Suprisingly the Bv 141 was very stable and the engineers  had got it right with the torque generated by  the BMW 801 radial engine  cancelling out the offset godola that contained a three man crew. It was suprisingly stable with textbook pitch and roll characteristics, somewhat of a flying paradox that even suprised the test pilots and designers. It was also a challenge for a 12 year-old kid to make  because of the detail required in painting the glazed crew gondola

Indeed, a very innovative design.  I'm a Bf 109 guy though.  If I could have a whole Geschwader of them, I would.

Please Equality, don't make a "reductio ad absurdum".

If a crime against humanity is commuted, the United Nations can even send troops, but we are talking about our perception of freedom of Speech for  our reality, a reality about wich you don't know a damn thing..

You can criticize what you want, but we are allowed to ignore your opinion...It's our country and you have no business about our laws.

So let us decide our fate.

Iván

I never say  said I agree with this..

I'M POINTING A FACT, NOT TAKING A POSITION

I said that if a determined country commits crimes against humanity,. the UN can send troops, that's a fact, not something I agree with, even when this is supported with the vote of UN members, including USA.

Then why even say it?

Why not also mention that gravity can pull things closer together?

This was absurd, I could  never justify crimes against humanity,  so I replied simply saying that in cases of CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY (LIKE SLAUGHTERING NEWBORN FEMALES), THE UN CAN SEND TROOPS

I'm answering your question with a fact.

Learn to read, I never said I necessarily agree with this, I just pointed a universal treaty that allows the UN to send troops..

Gravity is awesome. Governments telling people what they can and can't say, even Peruvian governments, is a path that will, sooner or later, lead to totalitarianism. Boo.

We got rid of terrorism without sacrificing democracy (this happened in the 90's and early 00's) and without killing all the terrorists as many other countries did.

When the leader of Shining Path was captured, it all ended, he's alive in jail even when he was responsible for 70,000 deaths....Not many countries would respect his life.

It worked for us.

Iván

BTW: Do you believe the Government should do nothing when proved that this newspapers used codes to inform and coordinate terrorist acts?

Again, why even mention that?

There's hundreds of other facts you could have stated. I'm not sure why you chose that one. I asked for your opinion on something and apparently you respond with facts.

Want to know my favorite color? A cirque is the entrance to a valley formed by glacial erosion.

What did I think of the Godfather? My carpets are blue.

This is a fun way to discuss things.

First, actually planning a crime is not the same thing as espousing a political view. Second, why on Earth would you NOT want to kill all the terrorists?

So you don't think restricting the citizenry from voicing their political opinions publicly is a crime against humanity?

I was asking, If you slaughtered newly born females, would I be allowed to criticize that in Ivan world.

Each time a terrorist or a terrorist commando was defeated and their members dead, many democratic Governments of Europe in chorus with Amnesty International, accused Perú of genocide, so the Government even gave new trials to some terrorists..

Sweden even asked the release of Abimael Guzman.

Would you believe that Amnesty International sent more people to protect this criminal than to help the victims?

That's what it bothers me, when people who don't understand what happens here, dare to criticize us.
