It's off the album "Embodiment: Collapsing Under the Weight of God" by Sculptured.
Side project from the guitarist of Agalloch.
There are some death metal traits, but it's deff straight up prog metal. Great stuff.

It's an amazing album.

Yes sir, I recommend you get it somehow Teo.
Awesome stuff.

I just really can't stand most of Kansas' lyrics.

Why not?

Hmm not sure. I've never been moved by any of their lyrics, nor have they produced any great visuals in my head.

Ah.  Lyrics paint pictures in your head.  That explains it then.

Hmm? Some of them do. It depends on the lyrics. I like a lot of different things in lyrics, Kansas doesn't provide me with any of them.

What's your opinion of Livgren as a composer?

I enjoy it, but damn it's long and drawn out and a pain to get through.

Much prefer V or The Light.

It was my first contact with The Beard. At the End of the Day is awesome, the next three are short entertaining songs, but with The Great Nothing the albums falls a little. Still a good track but it's a little too-long for its own good

When the The Great Nothing kicks off, that orchestra is an eargasm but yeah, it's a little long.

The only thing I can really recommend to you is Proto-Kaw's early recordings.

Of course, if Livgren's lyrics are off-putting, you might check out One of Several Possible Musiks- all instrumental (except for a baby crying, which I know you like to hear).

Long albums are cool with me (TFTO is my favorite of all time, and I love The Lamb).  For some reason, Snow is just..."bulky."  Still gave it four stars!  Approve
