I tend to avoid them myself because I can never eat my money's worth.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I only ate twice in such a place. First it was a Romanian restaurant with rustical theme and traditional food. They had an option to pay about 10 euros (pretty much, in Romania) and be served with 18 different types of barbecued meat. Unlike the rest of the group, I managed to eat from each, while losing the garnishings along the way. Here are some pics:

God... drooling

The second time I was at a Chinese restaurant in Soho, London, where the standard price was 5 pounds if I'm not wrong. There was no limit to how much you could eat, so I can only say that with my large stomac I did a better deal than I could have done at any other restaurant. I'm not a major fan of Chinese food, though.

Only if I'm really hungry. Definitely.

Yes. But I shouldn't eat so much so that I won't end up fat and disgusting and nobody will want to marry me.

I am fat and disgusting and nobody wants to marry me, because yes, I eat all that I can eat.

No. In theory, a person can eat till the stomach really collapses. I think none can eat all one can eat, but we can all eat to a point where we feel we've eaten all we can eat without going beyond what all you can eat would mean for people who eat all they can eat minus what they can't eat.

Not a fan of buffets, unless it's Indian or, in a pinch, Chinese.

In addition to food quality, there's also the cleanliness factor to consider.....  Dead

^ that's my problem with AYCE, it's usually not so great--  on the other hand, I can put it away if it's some good eats like real BBQ or Vietnamese or North Indian

The Romanian place seems like Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse where the waiters come by your table with different meat endlessly.  No matter how much you eat though, it can't be worth the $50+ per person...
