Aren't all reviews just a bunch of word w**kery? ;)

Editum: also I've decided fo' 100% that the next guitar that I buy will be an 8.

There's only room for one Djentleman around here, Joel. Stern Smile

I'm gonna be honest, I like most of the 'djent' bands out now but I tried playing an 8 string and I really just didn't like how it felt
7 strings are as low as I'll go I guess though my 6 string Strat is in B standard tuning

I don't want to listen to Djent purely because it has the most pretentious and stupid name, even though it was not meant to be as such.

We've been down that road many a time Josh lol

Whatever floats your boat but IMHO 8 strings (maybe even 7 but deff 8) is just a bit silly. 6 is fine.
And the ONLY guy I've seen that actually uses that many well is Tosin. Most just end up using like two strings and djenting it....

Seems like a waste of 8 strings.

I had the same problem except for I was apparently already listening to it, guess I've sort of gotten Stockholm Syndrome with the name
I do like the word Djentleman though

there's no doubt that it's damn cool, I just know I'd become too reliant on that lowest string for CHUG CHUG CHUG which I'm trying to get away from in favor of more chord and harmony based stuff
of course this is all going to amount to jack sh*t but it's a fun timesink

I'm working on finding a way to apply the lowest strings for jazz applications.  Learning to play AAL songs has helped a lot.

Hey that guy, you thought an 8-string neck was huge, look at my eventual next purchase:

Course I won't be able to afford a Jerzy Drozd, it'll probably be a modified Krappy.
