Topic: For all prog lovers! (Cracked) Posted: February 18 2011 at 13:53 |
I just got done reading an article from Cracked.com on progressive rock that they did a little over a year ago and I laughed through pretty much all of it.

Old article is old, but yes still funny. Particularly the final prog product with the 24 minute "The Spheroid of Time".

I've read it before. It is so true and so hilarious.

Thanks for the article. It may be old but I've never come across it before. Very funny indeed, and true.

I love how modern prog is characterized by a distinct lack of pants.

Indeed most of what was said is true... however, I disagree about the importance they gave to drugs... as far as I understand, prog musicians were not into drugs more than other artists. I think some prog musicians would even say that they can't play well if they are under the influence of drugs. I also disagree about calling Apocalyptica and Rammstein prog (though I do like them, specially Apocalyptica... I still need to hear some more Rammstein).

You might be right about the drug thing, but don't forget, it's comedy. I think they're making it funny with a little exaggeration.
