I noticed that most music stores take the "indie" concept in the initial sense, not in the stylistical one. The one I visited last had a lot of stuff I wouldn't have expected in an indie section, like several Krautrock, RIO and Japanese Zeuhl bands.

They're listened under the metulz at most stores here. Although Marillion is listed under both metal and urban groove at one store here

I once found a Pelican album in the Indie section. I raged a little, but then I realised that the store had just put everything from HydraHead records in there. Even Kayo Dot.
