I remember the term carpetbaggers.  I can't recall if they were politicians.  I think that they were in the Southern U.S. during or after the Civil War.

Had to check it out myself - carpetbagger
Thanks.  Ah yes, those Damn Yankees once again causing misery for the South.

I dreamt I got a saxophone for free tonight. Later on I dreamt I got severe radiation poisoning inside Chernobyl.
The brain is a strange little thing.

Oh dear.  People are so... how can I be nice?

Anyway, some guy I know just posted up a link to The Rolling Stones' Paint it Black and a guy replied saying he knows it from Full Metal Jacket.

Well of course that is true but that song is so much more well known away from that film.

I think my favourite so far is:

"Do you like Led Zeppelin?"
"Oh, yes I love him!"

Speaking of Led Zeppelin, Black Mountain borrowed a little bit from them on this song (not sure if or who Led Zeppelin borrowed the riff from).

I hate myself.  I accidentally knicked a bit of my moustache off, so now it's a lot shorter.  I've had to trim the other side shorter to match.

Grrr.  That took me ages to grow!

^ i know (and actually a Nordic union is actually being discussed in some areas in both Denmark, Sweden and Norway, since we are actually closer ideologicly and economicly then ever and more stabile)

think of Scandinavia, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, FeryIsland, as one grand union state

Have there really been any serious talk about that since the late 1800s?
And EU is the current project, wouldn't you say?

You're not even in it, but on the other hand you and Denmark are in NATO, which we are not. And not to be an ass, but Finland isn't even proper Scandinavia (in terms of language), Denmark's immigration policies is far, far from those in Sweden...and BTW, we - Norway and Sweden -  were in a union up until 1905 - when you decided it wasn't funny anymore LOL

I see lots and lots of problems here.

My record store that is going out of business is selling all of their used CDs for 60% off this week.  So normally, $8 CDs will be selling for $3.20.
