Allow me to recommend a great album I've received from the musician Rocco Lomonaco:

Breznev Fun Club - L'Onda Vertebrata: Lost + Found Vol. 1

From Wayside:
A group that combines avant-progressive with symphonic rock with classical music performed on 'real' instruments. The lineup is flute, clarinet, 2 saxes, trumpet, trombone, violin, cello, electric and acoustic guitar, bass, drums, mallet percussion and sprechgesang that you won't understand as well as mezzosoprano voice. It consists of short pieces and the whole album has a strong Italian flavor.

"A mysterious band, only known to very few collectors, they where noticed at first for their contribution on the hopelessly sold-out Italian Prog sampler that was a bonus to the same-named book. Breznev Fun Club, were born in the deep south of Italy, namely Montescaglioso (MT) at the beginning of the eighties and probably it is the first prog band from Lucania to release a CD. With this “L’onda vertebrata”, recorded in 2009 with new musicians from Lucania and Puglia Breznev Fun Club show a part of their music production of the last twenty years. More than a proper band, BFC are a ensemble with great guest star that perform the compositions of Rocco Lomonaco, that run between avant-prog and contemporary classical music, with rock and jazz rhythms, surrounded by the poetical Sprechgesang of lyricist Franco Sciscio. Definitely among the best prog bands coming from Italy in the last 10 years. A pleasant surprise from the deep south of Italy
."

I've suggested him to my fellow ZARTians, but I see he's been rejected.
Despite that, this album will appeal to folks here (I'm looking at you The Gazzardian/Stephen)

Not rejected according to the PF charts, suggested for a move (to where I'm not sure, I wasn't one of the voters).  There's still hope for addition to PA. Wink  I'll have to check this out too.

Ah ok thanks Jon and Cleo, so we'll wait and see what happens then (I just didn't see the Eclectic Team evaluating it - are they aware of the Team's Move to Eclectic Vote?).
Anyway, a lovely album that will be of interest to folks here.

A pleasure to have another fan of this type of music here; I'll check out your blog.
I'd love one day, when I'd have enough money to go to Carmaux for the fest (or maybe I'll time when next visit to my family in France to coincide with the fest.

Any of you guys familiar with Rich Woodson's Ellipsis. I see that they're not on the site, but I think they would interest many of you.
