Something considered as a band, called Marilion. Some irritating pop groups in prog named Radiohead and Supertramp. And something too overrated, like Yes and Dream Theater.

The very worst "prog" album I have ever heard is "Nightbird," by the Kaplan Brothers. I don't think it is listed on ProgArchives, but search for it on the internet. It is shockingly horrendous, but also incredibly amusing. It even features a cover of "Epitaph" by King Crimson!

IMO and from what I've heard, maybe not the worst prog band, but must be the worst of the "flagship" artists that are used as an example of a prog sub-genre.

Actually I don't even know anything by Magenta besides a few Yes covers (that I liked), I could have just mentioned Dream Theater again but I've run that one into the ground already.
