Topic: What Are YourTop Ten Prog Bands Posted: February 04 2011 at 20:04 |
Hey guys, I know this seems like a stupid top ten question but this is my first post I'm making on my account. So what are your top ten prog or prog related bands? Mine would have to be:
1. Rush 2. Black Sabbath 3. Led Zeppelin 4. Deep purple 5. Pink Floyd 6. Yes 7. Queen 8. Kansas 9. ELP 10. Vanilla Fudge

Welcome! Hope you find PA to your liking.
My top 10 (a rough list):
10. Premiata Forneria Marconi
9. Jethro Tull
8. King Crimson
7. Gentle Giant
6. Opeth
5. Van der Graaf Generator
4. Dream Theater
3. Rush
2. Yes
1. Genesis
I don't have all of their discographies but there's a list for you. It usually changes (especially with the last half).

Tough tough call. It changes rather rapidly, esp outside of the top four. But, some combination of the following:
King Crimson
Frank Zappa
Soft Machine
Van Der Graaf Generator
Magma
Henry Cow
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Gentle Giant
Agalloch
Ulver

Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
