True, try something once and it's never the same...onto more extreme always.

Read something awesome like Kurt Vonnegut.  Best.  Author.  Ever.

I once read Anthem, but it was pretty annoying with her pretentious prose-like writing.  And Equality 7-2521 was such a bitch (the character of course.)

I have a feeling that when most people say "I don't like Rand's prose" they really mean "I don't like Rand's ideas". I've read authors with much worse prose who get lots more respect.

But yeah JJ read 1984 right now.

Rand was a pretty lousy writer of fiction.

Rand's ideas are pretty okay in some areas, but sometimes she's bat sh*t insane.  I mean, selfishness is good and altruism is evil?  What the hell?

I certainly have the time now Pat.
It really is a shame, I never read it simply because it was for school and I thought f**k that! By the Jr and Sr year I stopped trying....
