Rob, how long will it take for you become accredited in NC and what do you need to do?

I think I just need a few additional credit hours and to take one more test (I already took one of them and passed before we moved to FL).  I could probably have it all done in one year, but they give you a 3 year temporary license.

I'm toying with the idea of knocking out those credits in the course of obtaining a master's degree- MA nets you another $200+ a month in Cumberland County.

OK, but how much do you have to spend to get the degree?

It'd be one of those things where you wouldn't start seeing a return for at least a few years I'm sure.  It's only 36 credit hours.

$2064.50 (plus miscellaneous fees plus books) for 9 credit hours or more.

That's $8,258 just for tuition.  Unhappy LOL

Plus school sucks.

Honestly, I'd say do it if you really think you'll get something out of the program, not for the $200.

Thank God the government has told everyone that they need to go to college.

A master's degree would cost me 550 cases of beer.  Thumbs Down

Buy her a two week cruise to the Bahamas. Moms always seem to enjoy that.

I'd like to pay for my parents to go on a cruise someday....when I have enough money to do that. And my parents have said they'd prefer an Alaskan cruise.

Try paying 550 cases of beer for your Masters degree when you're demonstrably smarter than the 3 kids who got TA positions over you.

Yeah I just noticed that. I really have nowhere left to shovel it to.

I had to shovel half of the street onto my lawn because my dad got his car stuck trying to get fresh bread for his PP and J sandwich.

I stand corrected - but I'd like you in triple-digit category at least.  Tongue

Well, at least it's pretty light.  Shouldn't amount to anything hopefully.

Our situation is steadily improving.  And if I land a teaching position, it will improve drastically. Smile

Good to hear - what is your wife doing these days, by the way?  Still child care or something else?

Being a housewife.  We're sick of other people's kids.  LOL

She bakes and designs cakes on the side.  Here's a few she's done:

That's a pull-apart cake (kind of like conjoined cupcakes).  The dirt is actually ground up graham crackers!
