I'm looking for good alternatives to Pandora. I haven't been happy with the diversity of artists/tracks that they give me for a particular "radio station". I feel like I hear the same small set of tracks over and over.

I'm not that familiar with their radio function, but don't they have various radio stations listed by band. So for example you could listen to VDGG radio, and the music that you hear will in theory either be from VDGG or at least somewhat resemble VDGG?

I discovered Comus on Last.fm radio.
I discovered Comus when looking over PA's top prog-folk albums (as displayed on the top of the category page).
They weren't on it at the time.
Maybe it was one of those moments when M@x was trying different formulas to calculate the ratings. I don't think I've ever seen the prog-folk top 20 without Comus since 2006, but that might be an explanation.

Speaking of M@x history of modifications of the ratings calculation, a few years ago he implemented a formula that put so much emphasis on obscure bands with small numbers of ratings that it almost started a riot. The poor bands who snatched albums on high positions in the overall chart got lynched, especially Phoenix who had Cantafabule on #33. Who the is that band?
