Yeah that's what he was saying up until 2006-2007. However more recently he said several times that since these days some mainstream bands like Muse or The Mars Volta have made "progressive" and "prog" acceptable again, there's no point in denying it.

The thing with Rober Fripp is, when you first hear him, you ask yourself, "Am this real music? This are terrible!" But if you are marry, then your wife hear music and says, "Why be you listening to this?" Then, you start to see good in the music. Then your wife sees to. So, five stars to Rober Fripp.
