i would, but there are two problems 1. no idea where the nearest CD shop is 2. monies: i has none |
Drive around the country (assuming you have a car, if you don't, take a bus) until you find one then rob the store because YOU NEED PHYSICAL MUSIC
|
more problems here 1. im 15, with no car, or even a license 2. no buses in my small town

Ride your bike within a 20 mile radius and look for a city with a bus. If you don't have a bike, use your parents or use a neighbor's bike.

I do wish I had more of a chance to shop for CDs in physical stores.
That blog you linked is very interesting.

Physical copies of music are nothing special, unless the artist puts some f**king effort into the presentation. You don't want to spend $30 on a new album to find it's nothing but a jewel case and a sleve with basically nothing of value on it. Save your money for special editions, or at least rarer albums.

Yeah, put in the damn lyrics. Nick Cave does seem to put an extra effort in the presentation. And I like it when they add a "poster". It's usually too small to do much with it, but it's a nice touch.

CD booklets without lyrics should be illegal. Unless of course the music is entirely instrumental, but it's always a huge letdown when I get an album that doesn't come with lyrics, not that I've bought new CDs in the last year...

omgomgomgomg
I'm going to buy a synth. I realized spending $300 outright on a controller would be limiting especially for live performance. Been watching ebay and I'm thinking about a Korg MS2000, but there's a Roland JP-8000 going now. What I gather that sh*t is legendary in the late 90s electronic scene. I don't know how ebay works though oh god.
$500-600 on synth $700 ish on computer
I am definitely not telling the folks how much this cost. YOUTHFUL INDISCRETIONS!
