Pat inspired me, so I'm drinking a Rogue American Amber Ale.

I'm an inspiration to the younger generation of beer drinkers. I'm proud of myself now.

Discovered over the holidays that a "grocery" store near my home sells an incredibly wide variety of beers from local micro-breweries. There just so many, right now, I'm still buying based on how pretty the tag is Wink

Just picked up a case of this

Had to shell out more than I usually do, but what the hell.  Great beer for the dead of winter.

I just drank a bottle of this Belgian beer 3 Monts (3 Mountains).

Don't be fooled by its blonde looks, it's a typical Belgian beer, with that awkward sweet taste like they put chocolate and coffee in it, and very, very strong, much stronger than I would have expected for an 8.5% alcohol beer. I drank one half a liter and it made me almost completely drunk Wacko Shocked

Too fruity for me. Not my kind of beer. It was nice to split a bottle with my friends though.

That stuff is a slap in the face. A little too bitter and dark for me. I like slightly sweet stouts, but it depends. If it's with a meal, there's more leeway.

Just had a couple tonight - see what you're saying about it being a bit more bitter than the average, but I still liked the flavor profile.

Just had a strong, tiny trappist beer for the first time since I've been to Bruges a year ago. Made me dizzy, I'll have to retire to bed.

I bought a fairly large quantity of these for Super Bowl weekend:

I'm not so sure they'll make it until Sunday.
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

Belgian ales are awesome. So are Czech lagers. Pilsner Urquell would have been a nice addition to this list.

The first time I notice that I can vote in a poll and it's a beer poll WITHOUT ONE CZECH BEER LISTED?Cry

Favorites;

Staropramen [Czech]
Budvar [Czech]
Spaten [German]
Dab [German]
Kirin [Japan]

The best beer that I ever tasted in my life was a product made by the Zubr company in Prerov, Czech Republic. My friends called it "yeast beer" and it had no preservatives in it whatsoever. It was only sold in one pub 2 blocks from the brewery because it went bad very quickly.
