Most absurd examples of censorship in music

I just heard on the radio a version of Steppenwolf's "The Pusher" with all the "god damn"s edited out.

Beat that.

I just read that some Canadian radio stations are beginning to stop playing Dire Straits "Money for Nothing" because of use of "fa****" in the song. 

I've heard radio stations edit "good goody good bullsh*t" from PF Money.

A "parental advisory" sticker was put on Zappa's Jazz From Hell...an INSTRUMENTAL album!

Zappa put that warning on the album as a protest against Tipper Core's Parents Music Resource Center campaign for the labelling. 

A) 666 by Aphrodite's Child, suffered a boycott of the most radical groups that didn't allowed it's publication for 2 years due to:

1.- The red cover with the huge 666.

2.- The song Infinity with the Irene Papas orgasm

3.- They wrote "This album was written under the influence of Sahlep"...The idiotic radical thought it was a Turkish demon or a strong drug, when as a fact it is a non alcoholic beverage.

B) The Rolling Stones song Satisfaction was banned in some radios, and during the presentation on The Ed Sullivan in show he prohibit the Stones to sing "Let's Spend the Night Together",  and Sullivan  wrote different lyrics fthat said "Let's Spend some Time Together, of course Jagger didn't accepted,  but Sullivan couldn’t ban the group because they were too big.

C) Also in the Ed Sullivan's Show, the producers  request that Jim Morrison change the lyrics to “Light My Fire” for The Doors’ September appearance on the program. Morrison initially agrees to alter the lyric “Girl we couldn't get much higher” to a more innocent and silly phrase. During the live presentation , Morrison shoouts "Girl we couldn't get much Higher", making emphasis in the phrase and looking directly at the camera. The Doors were never again invited back to the program

The Kinks single Lola was initially banned because it referred to Coca Cola. The lyric was changed to Cherry Cola.

Where does "revisionism via modern standards" end?  

In the single version of Marillion's Garden Party the line "I'm f...ing" was replaced by "I'm miming".

A few days after 9/11, the songs "Morning has Broken" and "Peace Train" were banned by "The Clear Channel"  because Cat Stevens is Moslem.

I read that "Louie, Louie" was often banned from several radios: the lyrics are not very understandable, and it seems the reason of this banning ("if we don't understand the lyrics, they must be very obscene!")

There's also the famous example of Lou Reed's "Take a walk on the wild side": some versions sound "bip bip bip bip, take a walk on the wild side, tutu tulututu, bip bip bip"
