I was about to say that December was the first month in years where I have added nothing new during the month, but I was forgetting about The Jethro Tull Christmas Album. That brings me to just 42 new titles this year. My record is 2004 with 132 new additions. I now have 1462 titles and/or discs in my CD collection. That's a lot of music to enjoy.

The first two words of this made me do a double take, I need to be less egotistical. Henry Threadgill is awesome, though. Have you heard This Brings Us To? I haven't heard either, but apparently Vol. 2 is supposed to be even better than Vol. 1. I still haven't gotten around to any 2010 albums yet so I'm a bit behind...I would take you up on your offer but you live on the wrong continent. :P I just got For Anthony Braxton--For Alto, Coltrane--Interstellar Space, and Pita--Get Out. The first two, particularly, I should have gotten a long time ago, I haven't listened to any of them all the way through yet, as my computer hates me and I'm a bit ADD, but what I've heard is great so far. They're all albums that make you go "How did they do that?", once I have actually listened to them I will probably be able to safely recommend any of them for fans of aggressive music. Paradise Lost will be playing the whole 'draconian times' during their next (short) tour, and that might be interesting to see them, like in their heydays.
