Don't let Akerfeldt hear you say that.

I listened to the Early Recordings of Proto-Kaw for the first time this morning.  They should have called it the Early Recordings of Proto-Henry Kaw.  Hard to believe that pre-Kansas was so avant with squonking saxophones and such.

I love that record, and Lynn Meredith sounds like a better Peter Hammill.  Approve

No one else has ever noticed this (as far as I know), but Scott, listen to the instrumental section in "Reunion in the Mountains of Sarne" and then listen to the instrumental section in "The Coming Dawn (
Thanatopsis)" on Somewhere to ElsewhereShocked

Also, I read that the song "Myriad" from that same album was written during that time period.  Pretty amazing.

I've read some of the lyrics Kerry Livgren wrote throughout his career to songs that never made it.  Always makes you wonder what got cut.  (I also have the original lyrics to "Closet Chronicles" around here somewhere).

Yes but since we all implicitly pay for it, Scott's statement holds.

I liked Watershed...

The A side is amazing, but the B side is a little lackluster, IMO.

I don't think they would be your normal cup of tea, but you might like them.

Check this track out from their debut and see what you think.
