I wouldn't consider KC or VdGG "classic" rock, I'm talking about what you'd hear on most rock stations here in the US (that aren't playing modern music).

I don't agree with that. I learned a lot of worthwhile things in high school. I'd only say that certain things are wastes of time.

You're misunderstanding me.  What I mean is that much of what is learned in high school could be learned in half the time or less.  Every public school I've ever had anything to do incorporates an awful lot of filler.

I suppose I agree. My math classes have been filler for me. I think that students should only have to take classes in subjects that interest them.

As I recall, most classes incorporated teaching the subject matter for the week on Monday, repeating the subject matter on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and taking a quiz or test on the subject matter on Friday.  If you got the gist of the subject matter on Monday, which I usually did, that meant that Tuesday through Thursday were mostly a waste of time.

Many of my high school classes consisted of word searches or crossword puzzles.  Confused

A lot of them also required us to keep a notebook of detailed notes, and this notebook would be like 25% of our grade.  I was not an organized person and I learn very poorly if I must take notes.  High school was terrible for me academically.

Interesting.  I don't remember doing word searches or crossword puzzles after elementary school, and I definitely don't remember a requirement for notebooks or notes.  I did fine grade-wise in high school, until I started taking advanced math classes with imaginary numbers.  I always loved math and working with numbers, but it was at that point I completely lost interest in math as a subject.  Go figure I would go on to make a career out of imaginary numbers. Wink

Yeah, I hate it when teachers do things like that. Everybody should be able to learn things the way that works best for them.

If that stands for Animals as Leaders, I have none.

I think I'll just find a new album to get off iTunes.
