Last.fm is really buggy today for everyone, Alex. It's not just the sig, it's the charts on the profile page. Yet if you click on "See all/edit" you see all of your scrobbles. No tracks from my current album are showing up on my page at all, but they're still in the extended view. It's rather annoying, I hope they fix it soon.
I had no problem today. I didn't play anything in the last few hours though, let me try and see how it works.

I paused it because I've been up and down for the past 40 minutes but yeah, Last.fm has been bugging out for the past few hours.
I kinda want to listen to Meshuggah now.
That explains the lack of new scrobbled tracks, but not the disappearance of one of them. Strange.
You know that saying, "I can resist anything, except a good temptation".
It explains the disappearance, too; if his is anything like mine, the track currently being listened to will show up on your profile until it's done playing, and assuming the sig updates when it's there it'll show up in his sig. Then, once the sig updates again after the track has disappeared from his last.fm profile, it'll disappear from the sig too.
Oh, I didn't know last.fm will delete a scrobble if you didn't finish the listen.

What? It doesn't, assuming you listen to enough of the track that it counts as scrobbled.

I think I may have misunderstood what I was trying to explain, then. Basically what I was trying to say was this: When a track is currently being played (for me) it shows up on my profile. Once the track's done, it disappeared from my profile, only showing up on my extended charts. If his last.fm sig updated while the track was showing up on his page, then it would show up on the sig, but once the next track started, then that one would no longer be on his profile, therefore the next time his sig updated it would no longer register that track, so it wouldn't show up in the sig anymore.

Last.fm scrobbles it before it is finished, but if you don't it is removed, I think.
It really depends on your scrobbler settings...you can set it to scrobble after anywhere from 50% to 100% of track length. I'm not sure, but I think the default is 50%.
