That was one of the best videos I've ever seen.

Yeah, all of us in TC were amazed with it! I think I cried from laughter. |

I brought in the new year with a toast with my parents/sister/cousin/his soon-to-be-wife. 4 people had wine, cousin had iced tea and I had a can of Mt. Dew. That was everyone at our new years party this year. I remember years when we had close to 60 people here. This was almost nicer in a way - less mess, less to clean up, etc. Plus, I didn't ever know most of those 60 people, so I really didn't miss them. |

It's a change in one f*cking number. That's it. The only way it affects me is I'll probably mess up writing the date for a few weeks. Life is gonna change regardless of what year we confine its events to.
Also, I got pulled over on the way back from a party, oooooooooooops.

No, I was going 37 in a 25. I normally could get away with it but I chose a bad time to leave (right around when the cops change rotations). I got off with a warning, thank God.

Left son's shoes there so had to go all the way back

Sounds like fun, ACR.
I had a quiet night with a few friends. Nice, but it was still lacking, especially for NYE events. And I'm back to feeling pretty depressed tonight.

Also, I've gotten into an argument on FB with some stranger about Opeth.
A friend was saying how he was amazed at how much he liked Opeth on first listen, and someone commented saying that my friend should "listen to someone who is metal, not a bunch of posers." |

fuuuck, I wouldn't get a warning for going 17 over in the middle of the night. Maybe he just wanted to get back to DUIs. Wikipedia met its fundraising goal YAY. Can you believe a decade ago it didn't exist? Like Youtube, it's hard to imagine my life without it.

OH GOD, THIS GUY IS RICH:
"its not about heaviness. first, opeth are fake as sh*t. they dont believe a word of what they write, i can guarantee it. they are just people who copy what they see, so they write down empty dark lyrics and put generic metal behind it. Second, it sounds like a clone of every semi-mainstream prog death band ever. get a little original for f**ks sake." This guy's a f*cking tool.

Yeah, he let me off pretty easy. Cops in that area are pretty pissy though. And yeah, it's tough to believe YouTube has only been around since 2004. I don't know how I existed before this stuff.

Then I'd be even more hated when I went around commenting on everyone's statuses that every piece of music they listed sucks.
And I'm not misanthropic enough to like noise.

No, you don't have to be a jerk about it, but nobody could call you a poser because nobody's heard of them! Well, maybe if your favorite noise bands are Sonic Youth and Wolf Eyes...
This is music but I still liked it, hmm.

Well, he was in TMV, so maybe that's why.
Some people don't even consider TMV to be listenable music, so maybe there is something to be said about that. Sonic Youth actually aren't too bad. I can deal with some noise rock, or stuff that isn't all noise but incorporates it, like Zu and whatnot. Henners, do you like drone at all? Ah f*ck, I haven't been this depressed since leaving school.

I have taken a shower and washed off 2010, shaved, put on new socks, and now am looking ahead anticipatorily.
