Ho sh*t, that's nice.

Why the sudden interest in 8's, Joel?  I thought you said you tried one and weren't gonna be interested in one for a while.

Not sure really, just started seeming like a much more interesting option. I'm still tossing up getting an acoustic before I get an 8 and/or a new amp, or maybe a 7, but I'm relatively happy with my current setup and thought I might as well go with an 8 instead of getting a 7 or a baritone 6. I'm fairly certain I'll get an Agile 8 in the next 6 months or so if I can get the funds.

Dude, Was playing guitars in Billy Hyde (Aussie GC) only lefty in the store was a Schecter C-7 Standard, decent but has bolt on. The hellraisers with set neck would be much better imo. One thing though, Don't ever get a Schecter 8 string. Mucked around on a right handed version and the low F# was flabby as f**k. The Agiles with a longer scale will be much better. Thumbs Up

Ah, lame. Could've just been the setup on the model you were playing though. I really like the Blackjack ATX C-8, although I could get an Agile with near identical specs for like 400 less, so that seems like the best option.

I wish they had this identical model w/a body thru neck: http://www.rondomusic.com/product3217.html

Btw, do you know any good guitar retailers in Sydney? We're going there soon so I might check one or two out.

Haha, I've got a Schecter 8.  Yeah the low end is really floppy, I'm gonna try and get some thicker gauge strings for the low end.

Wasn't the setup, was bad on the Blackjack ATX, Hellraiser and Daimiens.

I personally don't know of any good dealers. Send a PM to Tim (Greeny23 on UG) cause he lives in sydney. Tell him your a friend of mine, he sould be able to help Thumbs Up

As for Agiles, I'd opt for the higher end models, they have hipshot bridges.

Actually, I just realised this model has a 28" scale, which means I'll almost definitely get that one.

I can only find one 8 model that has a hipshot,

I've got the Damien Elite 8, and I like it enough to overlook the floppy F# (which I actually drop to E now).

Great Choice Thumbs Up If I can find the lefty version of that i'd get it, or maybe the one with the single emg. One thing i noticed with the seven string guitar (strings were fine), the low B was really muddy on the neck pickup versus the Bridge, but the other strings were fine on the neck. I don't think i'd even utilise the neck pickup.

I could do without the neck pup, although I don't know if I could live without the tone control. I use both pickups like 90% of the time, although I have no idea how it'd really react on an 8.

I actually love this model's colour, although I'd rather lose out on the colour than trade off the neck.

True that. Neck thru has sooo much sustain (as you probably know with your Classic Wink) Natural finish looks beastly though Beer

The Schecter finishes look good but the scale bugs me a lot. Really want my Hellraiser to sell so I have funds.

The bloodburst one is delish, although I think I like all of the Agile's in more natural colours so far. The very first one on the page for 8's has THE most offputting colour.

Yeah, I wish I would have had one to try before I ordered it.  I was worried that 28's would be too long to play so I went with the shorter one.  Now I know better next time :(

Never heard of Curry Chongs Google agrees it's amazing though.
I'm kinda worried about even the 28.825 length though, does sound quite ridiculously long and I have fairly smallish fingers.

Also,

Quite djentylicious (and free!) but I can't stop laughing at the kid's death stare into the cam.

The sample they're giving on their website is from their future album and you're right, it's plain country/folk. Nothing like what made the previous album so amazing (and PA material).
