Convert to metric or die, infidels.
I'd like to convert to something logical, but my brain doesn't do metric.
Metric: 1 kilometer = 1000 meters; 1 meter = 1000 milimeters - 1 meter = the total distance from the North Pole to the Equator divided by a million; 1 kilogram = 1000 the grams - 1 kilogram = 1 liter; 1 liter = 1.000.000 cubic milimiters. OMG, MULTIPLYING BY 10 IS SO RAWRD!!
Imperial: 1 mile = 1000 double steps of a roman centurion; a foot = some random king's foot length - a yard = 3.33 feet; I din't have the slightest idea about the rest. try and explain that bullsh*t imperial scum!

What? The origin of the foot is unknown because it varied from place to pace until it was standardized in the 20th century, and that's the Roman Mile, which is significantly shorter than the current common definition of a mile: there are many different variations on the concept. Most importantly, a yard is exactly 3 feet. The history of measurements is much more complicated and interesting than your glib assault. I agree that metric is better, but it's not worth getting upset that we don't feel like changing all our signs.
