Or she could have no faith. That'd be even worse. Tongue

Faith =/= blind belief.

The word doesn't even come from a word meaning blind belief.  In fact, the two ideas are almost mutually exclusive.  Just sayin'.  Wink

I'm not here to argue semantics, or religion for that matter. I'm just saying it's a turn-off for me. Jus' sayin'.

Most young women aren't actually Christian, or they just don't care and say they are. That's ok. But I don't know if I could date somebody who is actually legitimately Christian and cares about the Bible and stuff like that. Same thing with Jews and Muslims and everything. A faith is supposed to influence your worldview. I'm not interested in being with somebody who is actually, seriously religious.

If anything, I admire people who have a serious faith conviction.  That takes a much stronger will or character to put that much faith in anything than I could ever have.

It wouldn't disturb me, au contraire!
To pray an idol made of a guy nailed on a cross? How barbaric!

Pretty much the opposite to me. *WARNING, CONTAINS OPINION* It takes character to look the universe in the eye and say, I'm nothing, but this doesn't mean that nothing is worthy. "I rebel, therefore I exist". The act of concious rebellion is tantamount to the natural acceptance of resistance. There is no way to sugar coat the pill in the light of reality. Take your religion how you want, I'll take lucidity with all my might.

agreed.

However, if you're trying to get with her...that whole keeping it away may become problematic, eh?
